More about our Strategic Partnerships Team

As a Senior Research Scientist on our Strategic Partnerships team, you will apply creative solutions from the fields of survey methodology, statistics, social science, journalism, and data visualization to independently design studies and analyze data to create insights for Momentive's partners. You will work with reporters and editors at top media outlets, including Axios, Fortune, and the New York Times and will lead the editorial vision of Momentive's polling.

What we're looking for

You have outstanding written skills and the ability to showcase our research in areas of great interest, including politics, consumer sentiment and behavior, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, and market research more generally. You have an ability to draw meaningful conclusions and summarize data in compelling ways.

You will report to the Manager of Research Science.

This is a full-time position based in San Mateo, CA.

You will

  • Create public opinion polls on timely, mediagenic, business-oriented topics
  • Manage external partner relationship and coordinating with partners and media on coverage
  • Summarize analyses for media and the general public through articles, blog posts, interviews, and presentations
  • Produce compelling data visualizations to guide insights in the worlds of business and media, on topics ranging from politics to racial equity to business success
  • Lead significant research projects related to online public opinion polling
  • Build relationships with cross-functional and external partners to bring valuable insights

You have

  • MA/MS degree or related experience of 5 or more years
  • Strong data visualization and data storytelling skills using your software of choice (e.g. Tableau, R, SPSS, Stata)
