More about the Payments Engineering Team

Based in Dublin, the Payments team creates and maintains the software platform for Momentive’s global payments and billing systems. We work close with the Billing team in California to ensure that our current and future billing and payments requirements are always met.

This year we are expanding the team to work on an exciting new integration with Stripe to allow us to enhance the experience for our internal and external customers.

What we're looking for

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer who loves front-end development most of all. You will embrace the opportunity to work with a small focussed team of engineers to release quality software. You will relish the opportunity to help architect and implement our new Billing and Payments system, providing a scalable and reliable cloud-based platform for Momentive’s future needs. You will report to the Engineering Manager based in Dublin.

You will

  • be an integral part of building our new Payments and Billing platform, a green field project to replace our existing services and libraries with a modern OpenAPI-based architecture and utilising React.js in our frontend web applications.
  • have top-to-bottom ownership of new features, from design and creation, through writing readable and extensible code, unit tests, and keeping tabs on post-release metrics.
  • work as part of the Payments Engineering team, maintaining the existing payments platform both front-end and back-end.
  • work in our Agile development process including participating in sprint planning and code reviews.

You have

  • A minimum of 8+ years of programming experience
  • Excellent knowledge of Python, TypeScript/JavaScript
  • Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue.JS
  • Experience integrating with payment systems, especially Stripe, is a definite plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
